Lighting the Chalice

Our doors open at 2.30pm when there is a Sunday service - see below), ready to start the service with the lighting of the Chalice at 3pm
For the early part of 2010, we will be meeting as follows:

Sunday 23rd May 2010 -
Rick (Edmund Kell Unitarian Church, Southampton) will lead the service

Our services of worship combine traditional and modern hymns, prayers, music, quietness and a (shortish but often lively or provocative) sermon with new ideas. We see our religious beliefs as relevant to all aspects of life including the wider community. Our services are led by Ministers or Lay Leaders from the local area (including from our neighbour churches in Portsmouth and Southampton) as well as by members of the congregation

We enjoy a wide variety of perspectives from our service leaders and try to hold special themed services for commemorations such as Human Rights Day, Remembrance Sunday, World AIDS Day, as well as incorporating aspects and wisdom from the Christian and other religious faiths - combining, we hope, tradition with interpretation. All visitors and enquirers are made most welcome and are invited to join us for coffee and a chat if they wish - or just attend he service if you prefer. The Organ
