Please print off this poster and circulate to your congregation, Chowbent Chapel is a Grade 11 listed building, the service, led by Rev Brenda Catherall, will be inside this beautiful worship space. The afternoon presentations will be in our new hall, you are all most welcome to this free day event.
For those who have not visited Chowbent Chapel before here are directions. If driving look out for the Town Hall- with clock atop- this is Bolton Road and chapel is opposite down Bradshaw Street and into Alder Fold Street. For those arriving at the train station -Atherton- it is a 10 minutes walk, out of the station and turn right onto the main road and walk down towards a small garden with an ornamental Blue Bell in the garden, bear left down Bolton Old Road and walk past the Rope and Anchor pub and the chapel is on the left, if on the bus it is two stops down on the frequent 582 bus, alight at the Asda supermarket and turn left down Bradshaw Street and into Alder fold Street.
Four people completed the Rites of Passage course, shown below left to right are Laura Dobson, Vince McCully, Jacky Heraty and Vida Davies, all proudly displaying their certificates.
