'Mrs. Joan Norton: I am 58 years of age, and have been married to John for 36 years. We have both keen members of the Fellowship for many years. I am also Chapel Secretary of Upper Chapel, Sheffield. I am very excited about the way things are progressing with the Fellowship and look forward to a bright future. I love being Chairman and look forward to working with the new Committee. '

'Rev. Chris Goacher: I have been in the Unitarian ministry since 1997, and have been on the Committee of the UPF since 1996. I was very fortunate to attend The Hague Appeal for Peace in 1999; an inspirational event but hardly reported by the British press, I wonder why?

I am a member of a number of Peace organisations and believe that the UPF is vital in keeping a Unitarian voice within the Peace Movement and the Vision of Peace alive within Unitarianism. '

'Mr. Mike Tomlin: is a born Unitarian and worships with Stockton Unitarians. He is a former GA President and GA Treasurer, and now brings his financial acumen to the GA Sustentation Fund and the British & Foreign Unitarian Association, as well as to the Peace Fellowship. In his spare time, he is a volunteer for the Citizen's Advice Bureau.'

'Mrs. Sue Woolley: I have been a Unitarian since I was 18, and have been leading worship around the Midlands for 10 years. I have been a member of the Peace Fellowship for a few years, and am also Secretary of the Unitarian Association for Lay Ministry.

I am currently training for Unitarian ministry at Harris Manchester College Oxford, and work part-time for the Midland Unitarian Association as District Facilitator.'

'Mrs. Joyce Ashworth: I have been a member of Peace Fellowship Committee for past 10 years during which time I have attended and helped organise various events. I was GA President 2008/9, and have been a Unitarian Lay Preacher for 30 years.

Most of my denominational voluntary work has been concerned with assisting congregations – I am currently a member of the Denominational Support Commission and Facilitator for the Congregational Assessment Process'

'Mrs. Carol Chilton: I have been a member of the Octagon Unitarian Chapel in Norwich for almost 20 years. I come from an Anglican, Catholic and Quaker background. I qualified as a nurse, midwife and teacher. Between 1983 and 1986 I served with the Quaker Peace and Service in a remote area in North Kenya bringing together traditional Somali Muslim midwives with Christian South Kenyan medical staff. Our common objective was the care of mothers and babies.

I am active with the Octagon Chapel's Social Responsibility Group and I am part of a team which runs the Octagon's Sunday club for our children.'

'Feargus O'Conner: I have been a supporter of peace and humanitarian causes all my adult life, a member of the Unitarian Peace Fellowship for many years and served on our committee for over a decade. Like other Fellowship members, I passionately believe in the vital role of our Peace Fellowship in witnessing to the importance of cultivating an ethic of peace and nonviolence not only to our own Unitarian movement nationwide but to the world at large. It is therefore a privilege and a joy to work with my friends and colleagues on our committee and all our valued and committed members in advancing the life saving work of our Unitarian Peace Fellowship. '
