Print Templates

Background

A series of templates have been developed to assist congregations with items that need to be printed. The hope is that these templates will be helpful rather than definitive. Each congregation can add their own graphic elements such as a logo, along with their own pictures. After they have chosen colours and their own layout, the resulting designs will express the character of each location whilst showing some communality with other Unitarian congregations in the London and South East area.

Design

The thought behind the new design is that they should be friendly and accessible whilst projecting competency and some aesthetic awareness. We have made them flexible and simple to adapt to new requirements and we hope that they will make your job easier and more satisfying rather than complicated. Following are some examples of how things look.

Customisation

The examples above show how one congregation displays a row of faith symbols and their name consistently on all their material. We assume that each congregation will have some element or graphic that they will want to include. These should be able to be added to area at the bottom of most items. Software

We have created the templates in software called 'Open Office' which is a that works in a similar way to 'Microsoft Word' but is FREE to download. We have deliberately chosen not to use 'Microsoft Word' to make the templates accessible to everyone and to ensure that files can be easily shared in the future. If you are familiar with using 'Word', the new programme will not present you with any problems and if you are new to it all then you may find it slightly simpler to use. NB: whilst the templates offered below will open in 'Microsoft Word', certain features will not translate, primarily rounded corners on boxes, which are one of the key features of the templates.
