Website Designs
Ideas for new websites for congregations
Here are some examples of site designs using stylesheet principles.
What are stylesheets? This means you can have one simple HTML page to write your
content text into, and then choose a separate 'stylesheet' to control what the layout and colour
scheme looks like.
Choose from the list on the left, and you'll see what I mean - the html code in the page is the
same in each case, only the 'stylesheet' has been changed. This has the advantage that a whole
website, consisting of perhaps many pages, can have its 'look' changed by editing just one
stylesheet file. The alternative would be to spend hours editing every page of the site!
Please note: the designs are under development, and may change in appearance,
others may be added, some may disappear !
To see a summary of which congregations have websites and which do not, and to visit any of the
live sites around the UK, or to see what the previous standard templates were like, or to see the
other styles now used by many congregations who have their own designs, you can browse our list in
the Survey page.
