Events and other activities
Discovery Group
We hold monthly "Discovery Group" meetings. Open for all those interested - not just Unitarians -
these sessions offer an opportunity to explore ethical, spiritual and social issues in an informal way
(please download a programme).
Social responsibility
Every year we support a number of charities. For example we support the local hospices with our Charity Classic Concerts and hold collections for UNICEF, Amnesty International and 'Send-a-child-to-Hucklow' a Unitarian charity that provides holidays in Derbyshire for disadvantaged children.
Social activities
Social activities include rambles, theatre trips, buffet events, meals out and a book group which is held in
members' homes.
The Women's League also runs a social programme with monthly meetings from October to
May at Newton Village Hall in West Kirby.
Once a year we visit another church in the North West followed by a trip to a local stately home or
other attraction.
