Activities
As well as our Sunday Services, every week at 11am, there are other groups which meet regularly:
A monthly "Sparklers Children's Programme takes place on the 2nd Sunday of each month. Children will be in the service until their story, and will then go into the Vestry with leaders for their own activities.
Bright Lights is an intergenerational worship session, which will be four times in this year, the first session is reported on the Recent Services page, and the next session will be on during the child friendly morning service at 11 a.m. on Sunday 9th June with Rev. John Harley, Unitarian Youth Officer, at 11 a.m. More details will appear in the York Unitarian for June.
Other dates are 22nd September and 24th November.
Sessions involve stories, nature, craft, spirituality, music, humanity, fun, community, creativity and food.
The chalice candle was made at a Bright Lights session.
Can you spot who is hiding here?
"Alice and Tamaris helped to create our hibernation den in the chapel garden at Bright Lights. We weaved an autumn blanket with twigs, leaves, berries and stars to light the winter dark. We decided we didn't fancy hibernating ourselves though, thinking we'd miss too many things like frosty mornings, Christmas, our family and friends and teddies."
