Social responsibility

During the year we support 'Send-a Child-To Hucklow', a Unitarian Charity which provides holidays for disadvantaged children in Derbyshire. Meanwhile, locally we support the Wirral Food Bank and "Feeding Birkenhead" an initiative set up by Frank Field MP, aiming to eliminate hunger in the Birkenhead area of Wirral.

We also support both our local hospices with our twice-yearly Classic Concerts. Our next Charity Classics Concert will be at 3.30 pm on Sunday 26th April. The hour-long concert will include singer Caroline Shipton and other performers raising money for the children's hospice, Claire House.

Social activities

Walk

Social activities include rambles, theatre trips, buffet events, meals out and a book group which is held in members' homes. Once a year we visit another church in the North West followed by a trip to a local stately home or other attraction.

We also hold monthly meetings of our Discovery Group which are open to all. Here we explore spiritual, cultural, ethical and spiritual issues. For more details of the sessions see our Discovery Group page.
